It's a weird idea, but in this comic Blake gets the notion that he can create an army of super-intelligent bookworms to do his homework for him. The theme for the strip just popped into my head a little while ago, because I was thinking about apples. I remembered back when I used to color them in elementary school and that they always had a little worm in them, poking their little head out. Blake gets the idea in the same fashion and goes to work, but Dustin tries to talk him out of it, because he wants to go fishing with the worms instead. I decided to call Blake's concoction a bookworm, because it's a label for someone who reads a lot and already includes the word "worm" within it. Its typical of Blake to come up with a wacked out plan like this to abolish his homework troubles. You'll have to read the comic to see if Blake's plan is successful.

After reading a couple of my other comics, you'll notice that I change Dustin's outfit to suit the needs of the comic. Blake usually remains constant because he's the central character--just a t-shirt and black pants. Dustin is more of a comedian, so I like to vary his get-up a little more often. If you swing by the Cartoon Archives, you can check out an older drawing of Dustin fishing off a dock. Compare it to the last frame of this comic strip.
